SkyTrex Adventure, Taman Pertanian Malaysia

I had a very different weekend. First, I went to the SkyTrex Adventure at Taman Pertanian Malaysia, Shah Alam. Then, I went to the Super GT International Series at Sepang F1 Circuit.

The SkyTrex Adventure, was actually being founded by foreigners, for their own pleasures. All the activities are being held up in the sky, from tree to tree. But then, don't know since when, this is been opened to the public, and of course, with fees. The package we have chosen is "The Big Thrill", Rm35 per person. Well, if you can get a group of atleast 10, you will get a discount rate of 10%. For those who are interested, may check out the details at their official website, here.

So, last Saturday morning, we gathered together for breakfast before we start our journey. The adventure starts at 1300, so there shall be plenty of time for us to get there. But since we aren't familiar with the route to there, and also the massive jam that Federal Highway could be, we decided to start our engine earlier. And, we finally reached there before the dedicated time.

The very first thing was to get the tickets, the tickets to get into the Taman Pertanian.,Rm3 per person. Then, we have to get on a bus that specifically drive us to the spot.

this is the bus that responsible to fetch us to the destination

and this banner, teaches us how to starts, what should we do

So, the very first thing we must fill in a form, that saying we, our own self is the one that should be responsible on our safety. We shall be rely on our very own self.

Then, have to buy a pair of gloves to protect our precious hands. The cables and stuff, can be very harmful. There do sell gloves here, RM3 per pair. If you do not wants to buy a new pair, you can gets the used pair here too, just remember to return once used. (I personally prefer to buy a new pair, because the used pair so just so not in the condition..)

After submitted the form, we shall come to this Gear up deck, to put on the safety gear, aka the hardness.

See we are so busy with the hardness wearing

The hardness, is an equipment to put on our waist, to help carry our body when we are in the air. There are 3 locks on the hardness, each got its own functions to help look after our safety. The first lock, called pully(actually not sure how does it spelled), looks squarish and bulky, used to hooked on the cable when we do horizontal walking. The second and third lock, called craps (also not sure how does this spelled), is a pair of hooker like lock, which one of them is slightly longer. The short 1 used to lock on the pully, where the long 1 used to lock on the cable behind the pully, when we do horizontal walking. If its for vertical climbing, both craps are used to hook and locked on the hook on the cable.

Well, it seems like a bit difficult to understand huh? But no choice, to secure our life, we better pay full attention and always focus on this process. Life is precious, friend!

After the hardness, we are directed to this mini training spot, where you may few similar challenges here. The pretty guide tought us how to use the locks, and explained to us the precaution we should look into.

the first challenge in the mini training, the stair made up by pipes.
We are required to climb up the stairs, to the platform there.
All the challenges are made from tree to tree, so this platforms are very important for us to do all the safety process.

Next, we have to walk through this hanging bridge to the platform on the other tree.

Thirdly, swing ourself to this spider web, and climb up the platform.
On first swing, do not grab the net. This is due to the impact of the first swing, might hurt us.
On second swing, try to position yourself, and this time, grab the net. Once grabbed it, slowly climb to the platform.

The last challenge is to do the famous flying fox. Well, this 1 we not able to take a good photo on it. Anyway, we are required to fly ourself from the platform to ground.

After everybody tried this mini training, and managed to handle the locks, there we go to the real challenge on the other side!

~~ ** ~~

The first challenge, consists a stairs of 14 km long. Do you ever feel your legs are shaing after seeing this? When I first start to climb the stairs, I was like so proud that I climb it one leg one step. Not too long later, I started to use my hands to grab the stair above, and pull my body up, super difficulyly.. When I finally get to the platform, I was so relief and my hands actually felt so just not mine.. Well I guess this is all because I didn't exercise at all during normal days..

Anyway, due to these kind of energy absorber actions, it's really difficult to take nice and clear photo in the air, and well, it's dangerous as well. So I will just show you some of the photos from the challeges we went through. And, as you may see, there will always be a cable through out the challenges. This used to protect ourself, just incase we falls or something. The locks on the cable will hang us there, so we ddin't fall down from the trees, or from the air.

Well, the orginizer did prepare this CHICKEN EXIT, for those who failed to proceed further.
But hell, there is no way we are going to be a CHICKEN, are we??!!!!

Straits Cafe @ Central Point

Went to Centre Point at Bandar Utama the other night. Just so happened it's dinner time, so we decided to get something to chew there too. The Straits Cafe, i a garden-like restaurant, right in the middle of the mall, serves local delights. The food include Nasi Lemak, Fried Kuey-Teow, Curry Laksa, etc.

Well, to say it's garden-like, not exactly though, not the opened air typed. But it has a small man-made pond, which you may find few koir fished there. And, around the pond, there are some trees planted, to create the forest feel I believed. Anyway, it's more like a closed garden view though.

Nevertheless, to be companied by the watering sound while we enjoying our food, it totally not a bad idea though.

The garden feel

Curry Mee, with some fresh shells.
Curry contained coconut milk, for those doesn't like this may not find this good though.
But I personally quite like it.

Nasi Lemak with Thay style green curry.
The sambal is spicy, the green curry tasted creamy.

Iced lemon tea, full of tea fragrance, and definitely a good sip.

Iced Mixed Fruit @ Ipoh

Iced mixed fruit

This is what I found in Ipoh, some kind of special dessert I guess, Iced Mixed Fruit. It's something very similar to the famous Iced Kacang. The only different is that the ingredients being used are all fruits.

First, put some shredded ice at the bottom of the bowl, and put some 'red sugar' (made from sugar cane) on it. Then, put in all the fruits, arranged nicely into the bowl. Last, put some peanuts and a scope of ice cream on top of it. There you go, it's done.

Hm.. Don't think KL has such dessert yet, has it? Anyway, it's something different, and tasty too. Definitely worth a try.

Forgot to mention, I found this from food stalls next to the Sam Tet Primary School, in Ipoh town. Also found something the day, two of the stalls owner were fighting/scolding each other at the stalls, in front of all customers. It was because stall B put their tables and chair across to stall A. Stall A's owner was so angry and started the war. All the F words were flying over the air.. Although I do not know what's so big deal that your neighbour stall put their tables and chairs slightly over the line, but it seems a very unforgiveable action to them though..

Restaurant An Ji (Ya Cai Ji) @ Ipoh

When we talk about the Ipoh's famous chicken, the first thing came to most people mind is the 'Lao Wang'. But to me, I prefer the one next door, the 'An Ji'. I just find the way the cook the chicken taste much better, it's smoother. And it's totally awesome when you eat with their special chili sauce.

Steamed chicken.

Bean sprout in soya sauce.

Pork meat ball.

Kuey-teow soup.

Ipoh + Penang 3 Days Trip

Hehe.. Do not get fooled by the picture. I can't ride a horse at all. This picture taken while the guy who trained the horsey just let go, leave the two of us. He is, however, standby beside though. I was really scared when the horsey started to ran, felt like I might just fall down the next minute.. Anyway, it's a very very good and enjoying experience.

Took 3 days off for a short break to Ipoh and Penang, leaving the irritating town area all behind. Just wanted to give my ears some precious peaceful moments, and to refresh my mind and soul. You know, people say "Rest, is to refresh own self so to continue walking". Indeed, it is so true. When you are too tired and exhausted, try to slow down and take a break. You will find yourself being recharged, then you may continue the journey with full energy.

Anyway, what's famous in Ipoh and Penang? Well, ofcourse are the food! So what did I do in my trip? Eat, sleep, relax, eat again, sleep again, relax again.. Totally awsome!!

Wahaha.. It's just one word to describe.. "SHIOK"!

Restaurant City @ FB

Do you all FB ? Do you play FB games ? And do you play Restaurant City? Long ago when I first play FB, I find it quite boring thought, nothing so special about. Yes, it may allow you to locate back your long lost friends, but to me, this function seems like not so useful after all.

Then, someone invited me to join this game in FB (Fox, I still can't remember if it's you lar.. ). Form then, I have been obsessed with it. It's the Restaurant City, the most hit recently, that made me gone all crazy about it!

restaurant_city

Every morning when I wake up, the very first thing I ever do is to check on my RC's status, to feed my staff, to clean up the mess... A sandwitch is a must for breakfast, it allow him/her recover 100% health. Then monitoring the progress on the status of all staff, make sure they have enough energy /health to continue serving.

Also, pay attention on the dishes that your restaurant is serving is important too. Focus on one dish per cageory allowed you to upgrade your dish more easily. The more experience points you get, the faster you gets to upgrade your restaurant.

Last but not least, the arrangement of the restaurant does affect your progress to gain more points! The customers must always be served happily. Else they will just leave you with thumb down, affecting your upgrade progress.

So, friend! If you are playing this game, remember to add me!!

PapaRich Kopitiam @ Damansara Uptown

Took half day off yesterday for some personal matter. Then went to look for daddy for lunch in PJ. We actually had PapaRich Kopitiam last week back, but didn't managed to take the photos. The food and the ambiance here are both good, so we decided to come back here again for the day lunch.

Decorated in dark grey color, and some green plants in the shop, PapaRich managed to create a relax environment for its customers. Oh not to left out the sign of the an old man (I do think he look alike uncle fried chicken though..) holding a cup of coffee hanging on the wall..

The tasty fried Kuey-Teow, penang style, taste just great!

Black-pepper chicken rice, taste so-so, nothing special though.

Steamed Papa roti, with butter and kaya inside. Good!

Last but not least, the ABC Iced Kacang.
This is so much better than many of the roadside stall, good small of brown sugar but not too sweet.

Hainam Kopitiam @ SS2

Everybody know that SS2 is a place where we can find lots of nice food there. Went there last Saturday for lunch we were, thinking to get something new, then we came to this Hainam Kopitiam, just next to the Swenson.

Its something look alike the famous Old Town Kopitiam, both are decorated under those traditional style. But what they don't have are the cups,

My very favorite Kopi-O iced, this is definitely a try for those kopi-O fans!

Hainamese Traditional style chicken rice. The sweet and sour sauces, eat with deep fried chicken chop. It's just so delicious!

Hainamese Sin-Hui style chicken rice.
Well, I personally think this is so-so, nothing so special though.
